Zip up or Close the zipper?

Situation - He is strapping on a backpack. The backpack has a pocket with zipper. It looks that he forgot closing that zipper.

What do I say to him?

1) Zip up your backpack!
2) Close your zipper on the front pocket of your backpack!

Are both wrong? Could you teach me a proper expression? Thank you in advance for your teaching.
