Jamie opens the door. There's a confident, middle-aged French woman, Eleonore. She is clearly in charge of the house in some way with a nice thick French account.
JAMIE : Bonjour, Eleonore.
ELENORE : Bonjour, Monsieur Bennett. Welcome back. And this year, you bring a lady guest?
JAMIE: Ah, no. There's a change of situation. Just me.

I'd like to know why it is "bring," not "brought."
