WTH do they mean with those movie/TV titles???

Sometimes I see TV shows or movies with some funny titles I wonder what do they mean to native English speakers. Two examples:A scanner darklyWire in the blood (series)

A scanner darkly is a reference to the phrase 'through a glass darkly'- updated for a sci-fi movie.
