WRITING TASK 2. PLEASE HELP ME CHECK MY NEW ESSAY! THANK YOU!

TOPIC: Some people think that developments involving the internet have brought people closer together while others think that people and communities have become more isolated. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is argued that the significant development of the Internet has drawn people together as people can still communicate through various cyber platforms. While many people favor such kind of interaction, others believe that Viber social is leading our people as well as our society to the age of isolation where people avoid meeting or talking face-to-face.

On one hand, it is doubtless that the evolution of social media has improved the way we keep in touch with each other. To be more specific, the Internet is considered to have flattened the world's geography and has broken all the existent boundaries among nations as people now can meet each other and make friends easily through social media without having to fly to another country or paying fees. Not only so, but the development of the internet has also already broken the language barriers as people now do not necessarily learn a language intensively for communicating with foreign people when they travel overseas. All they need to have is a phone with wifi available, which will help them translate. In that way, people from different countries can easily understand each other without creating conflicts just because of misunderstandings. Moreover, young people in modern days tend to have blind-dates online. Thanks to the development of cyber platforms, people now can have dates with their anonymous lovers with the fullest extent of security. In fact, there are hundreds of couples who have successfully got married thanks to such a way of dating.

On the other hand, that said such enormous advantages of the Internet brought to us, we can not lose sight of the fact that modern people now, somehow, are hesitant when it comes to physical interaction. For instance, people feel like themselves on social media more than themselves in their daily life. In some ways, people can be a perfect version when they are on the Viber space for they can show all of their beauties and hide away all of their clumsiness, which then directly forming a sense of shyness, embarrassment when they meet their friends out of social media. As a result, creating a gap between people in reality.

In conclusion, while I admit that social media does help connect people from all over the world, we can not ignore the fact that the internet has also formed a gap between humans in our society.
