Please help me figure out the difference between motivation letter and personal statement. The school I am applying for requires me to write those letters and I don't know the difference between them.
I do appreciate for your help.

I'd say a motivational letter is one which concentrates on your strengths. e. their perception of you) as being perfect.

I'd say a motivational letter is one which concentrates on your strengths. It's also not the worst thing to list one or two of your weaknesses, as that usually indicates you recognise you have room for improvement & don't come across to them (i.e. their perception of you) as being perfect.
A personal statement would concentrate on your qualifications.
