Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them, please?

M: I thought you would [ were going to ] come to our reception party. If you don't mind
my asking, why didn't you come?
F: I never forgot about it. Something unavoidable came up.
M: Well, I hope you'll join us next time.

F: I'm looking for something for my husband. Could [ Would } you help me?
M: Sure. How about [ Why don't you buy her ] this purse?
F: Great. I'll take this one. Can you gift-wrap this for me?
M: Certainly. Just a moment, please.
