Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you correct them?
No. 1
M: Excuse me. I was wondering if [whether] you could recommend a novel
(for me). I'm looking for a crime fiction [detective story] of some sort [kind].
F: Well, how about this best-selling murder mystery?
No. 2
M: Excuse me, but I don't think you gave me the proper [correct]
change.
F: These books were 9 dollars and I gave you one [dollar] in change.
M: Yes, but I gave you twenty dollars [a twenty-dollar bill].
You still owe me ten.
