Will someone please proof-read this and provide feedback?
0 I had just recently posted for help w/ writing a letter to a judge but no one replied, so I gave it my best shot, and wish that someone will just proof-read this and let me know what else it may need.02br 02br 00*All names and addresses have been blanked out for security purposes.02br 02br 00Samantha 02br 02br 02br 02br 02br 02br 00The Honorable Judge 01i00______02i02br 02br 02br 00Address, 02br 02br 02br 00Case Number:_01i00______________02i02br 02br 02br 02br 00 00Dear Judge 01i00________02i00,02br 02br 00 00 00My name is Samantha, and I am writing to you regarding my case. I was in 00 on vacation recently visiting my cousins. On the 1801sup00th02sup00 day of January, I was arrested for retail theft in 01i00____02i00 Surf Shop located on 00 in 00. Words cannot explain my embarrassment and regret, and there is no excuse as to what I did. I want to apologize on behalf of 00 00, and the State of 00 for my actions. I have never violated the law and this will be my first and last time. 00 02br 02br 00I did, however, receive my citation in the mail. It states that I must appear in court on Wednesday, February 701sup00th02sup00. Unfortunately, I am not able to appear at this time. I reside in NY and am a part-time worker and full-time student. I would like to request, if possible, to perhaps handle the case by mail. If I have any other options, please let me know.02br 02br 02br 02br 00I appreciate your time and consideration.02br 02br 00Thank you.02br 02br 00Sincerely,02br 02br 02br 02br 02br 02br 00Samantha0-

0Hi,02br 02br 00I've tried to help with your English, but I know nothing about the legal aspect of this. I wonder if it is the judge him/herself or the clerk of his court that you should be writing to? Have you considered checking with a lawyer?
