As the older lion strolls along
Many a time younger handsome beasts
Look at him and marvel at his condition
But it is not him that intrigues them
What manner of lioness promotes
His magnificence, makes older younger,
Makes grey mane shine, makes him look to have spring ?
He is only an older lion strolling along
They envy him , they wish to have her .
Her beauty must be more than has honoured them,
Her mind must be as fast as her spring.
The older lion as he strolls along
Knows what is in their mind for the lioness
Golden is in his lion heart and blood .
