Which tense should I use for the questions?

Hi teachers,
If I have a text with the synopsis and dialogues in simple present, simple past, present perfect, present perfect continuous and even future, can I ask questions from the text in simple past, present perfect, and present perfect continuous? I mean, it's not necessary to use the simple present and future for the questions, is it?
Or should I use the same tenses that are written in the text for the questions?
