I'm not real sure about this, but it could be talking about a race horse. " "Diplomat's Fancy" could be the name of the horse, and "out of 'Proud Ways' " might be a way of saying "son of ... " This is just a guess, however.

I'm not real sure about this, but it could be talking about a race horse. "This horse can't miss" means "this horse is a certain winner; this horse can't lose." "Diplomat's Fancy" could be the name of the horse, and "out of 'Proud Ways' " might be a way of saying "son of ...
