What is "pediatricians' samples?'

I come to across the phrase "pediatricians' samples." Does this mean the medical supply of peditrics? I am not sure about it.

Top answer

No, this means samples of medications that have been given to the pediatrician by sales staff for pharmaceutical companies. It could also be samples of medical supplies, such as those medication spoons with the measurements on them that persons use to give small children liquid medications. Pharmaceutical sales persons often distribute those types of things to doctors as well as supplies of pharmaceuticals.
