What doe it mean " well-balanced meals " ?

Meals having a good balance of the various food groups: proteins, carbohydrates, etc-- dairy products, green vegetables, legumes, fish...uh... tofu.... Hmm, I seem to have forgotten the basic healthy food groups. Too much peanut butter and coffee.
