I was writing something for work, and used the following sentence:<br/><br/>"Was viewing the visuals important to your overall satisfaction with the presentation?"<br/><br/>My boss corrected it, insisting that it should read:<br/><br/>"Were viewing the visuals important to your overall satisfaction with the presentation?"<br/><br/>I thought this incorrect, and the grammatical equivalent of asking:<br/><br/>"Were watching the cars fun yesterday?"<br/><br/>Between the first two sentences, which one would be grammatically correct?
