Was vs. Were
I was writing something for work, and used the following sentence:
"Was viewing the visuals important to your overall satisfaction with the presentation?"
My boss corrected it, insisting that it should read:
"Were viewing the visuals important to your overall satisfaction with the presentation?"
I thought this incorrect, and the grammatical equivalent of asking:
"Were watching the cars fun yesterday?"
Between the first two sentences, which one would be grammatically correct?
"Was viewing the visuals important to your overall satisfaction with the presentation?"
