Vocabulary q no. 4 - poor of love?

Howdy,

Can we say that somebody is poor of love? The intended meaning is that he lacks love.

Thanks

No, definitely not.

If you mean that nobody loves him, you could use "unloved".

What I wanna say is that he's got an abundance of money but he doesn't get enough love/feelings.

I suppose, in a context like that. you could say 'He is rich in money, but poor in love'.

You could use "loveless", which usually means "not having (or expressing) feelings of love, but can also mean not receiving love.

If you want to say he hates people in general (not just that he doesn't love anyone) you could say he is "misanthropic".
