Are these sentences correct:


a) "Whiskey is such a strong drink that it's common to pour water into it to dilute the alcohol content."


b) "Whiskey is such a strong drink that it's common to put water into it to decrease the alcohol content."

" Both are OK, but I'd choose #2. The Irish spelling is whiskey, not whisky. As an Irish man, I have to tell you that Irish whiskey is the best.
