Hi
Some people have the fear that without
a lot of meat in their diet, they won’t be healthy and strong.
Yet you just ran a plant-fueled first marathon at nearly
the age of 50, and Ocean and I have run veggie-powered
marathons together starting when he was 10 years old.
I understand that plant-fueled means that that guy is a vegan.
However I’m not sure about “veggie-powered”? Does it mean he and his son (Ocean) are vegetarians? And they both being vegetarians ran a marathon many times?

I would say that 'veggie' is vegetarian, and they do use milk, cheese and eggs
If a person does not eat dairy products then they are vegan
('plant-fuelled', I'd say, is a good idiom for vegan)

I'm vegetarian (including eggs and milk) and would call myself veggie
It someone called themselves plant-fuelled, I would take that to mean vegetables and fruit only - not dairy produce
But not everyone would necessarily make that difference
