Hi,
Does the verb "utter" can be used as an intransitive verb?
Example: Diana's farewell to the family is uttered.
(farewell as a noun)

No, you cannot do that. Even if 'utter' were intransitive, it would be wrong. It it were intransitive, it would read 'Diana uttered' (which is also wrong, since 'utter' is transitive).
