Using past perfect with different dates
Is this correct?
1. `In 1999 I finished my school, but I had left it for a while in 1998, and I had started my adventure with shool in 1996`.
2. `I came to USA in 2004, before that I had lived in Poland for almost whole my life and than I (had?) lived in France for two years`.

Voytaszek Is this correct? Probably too much past perfect. Remember that past perfect is quite formal and has only two uses: (1) to clarify the order of occurrence of two past actions when that order is othewise unclear.
