Using parenthesis - need help
Hi,
Would this sentence be ok as far as brackets are concerned?
He went there to meet Reed (John to his friends).
Is it correct to use period AFTER the parenthesis...and no period before it?

Hi, Yes, it's fine as written. Such use of parentheses is OK in informal writing, but I don't recommend it for formal writing. Best wishes, Clive
