Use of 'see'
The verb 'see' seems to have many uses:
1. I saw Peter run away.
2. I saw Peter running away.
Besides, 'see' can be followed by a that-clause.
3. I saw (that) Peter ran away. / I saw Peter ran away.
The third one seems to be incorrect, but isn't it grammatical?

Hi Calvinshli It isn't grammatical too. " Here "saw" denotes past and there is no need for another reference to past.
