Usage of "nor"
Hello, I would like to know whether "nor" is used correctly in the following sentence: "This quantity does not depend on x NOR y." ?
It sounds wrong to me. I'd rather say "depends neither on x nor on y" or "is independent of x and y".

I don't think most writers use that construction anymore. Now we usually take the scope of the initial "not" to extend to the end of the clause, and therefore use "or" instead
