Usage of "it"
Hello, I have a question about usage of "it". I know how to use it but I was wondering if there is a meaning difference between "it" and "that" and as far as I know, "that" tells us far ones and "this" tells us closer ones. Then what does "it" tell us? Or there is not a meaning related to distance in "it"? Thank you so much as always and have a good day.

Broadly speaking, 'it' means the thing previously mentioned . The word tells us nothing about 'near' or 'far'. Clive
