Unforeseen
Hello,
In the sentence below, the use of "unforeseen" is correct? Wouldn't it be better to use "unexpected" instead of "unforeseen"? Also, do you think "discovered" fits this sentence? Wouldn't "identified" be a better choice?
"During the planned maintenance downtime of the power plant unforeseen damages were discovered."

The meaning of "unforeseen" is not anticipated and predicted. "unexpected" is the another alternative of this particular world. "Discoverd" I think not fitting in this particular sentences at all and it's not an alternative to the world "unforeseen"
