(train) guard - conductor - train attendant
Hi,
(1) According to my longman, guard is used in BrEng and conductor in AmEng
Is it true that guard is indeed still much more common in the UK (and elsewhere except North America) than conductor ?
(2) train attendant - I wonder if this alternative is little by little taking place of guard/conductor in modern English?
