"To trust somebody", "To rely on somebody", and "To confide in somebody" (Can they be used interchangeably)

Teachers, is there some difference between "To trust somebody", "To rely on somebody", and "To confide in somebody" in terms of their usage? 

Do the verbs have the same meaning, here? 

- Shally always trusted her sister Ann. 
- Shally always relied on her sister Ann. 
- Shally always confided in her sister Ann.
