To + pronoun
Hi,
I'm an english tutor and I'm finding it very difficult to explain the use of "to" to my students. For example:
I gave her the book yesterday. This would be the correct form in my opinion.
I gave to her the book yesterday.
But instead
I went her for advice.
I went to her for advice. This would be the correct form in my opinion.
Can someone please help me.
Thanks.
