How would you naturally phrase the following? Are peculiar and off both correct?

I don’t think this sentence is correct. I sounds peculiar/off to my ear/ears.

Both adjectives are fine. The expression is "to my ear", not "ears". Your ear is your capacity for appraising sounds:
