Greetings, there is no sane/grammatical way of making this transformation. While 'return' can be used in a sentence like: I returned the book to the library and be passivized like this: The book was returned to the library, in your example the verb 'return' has an intransitive meaning, and intransitive verbs, having no object, cannot take the passive. there is no sane/grammatical way of making this transformation. While 'return' can be used in a sentence like:

I returned the book to the library

and be passivized like this:

The book was returned to the library,

in your example the verb 'return' has an intransitive meaning, and intransitive verbs, having no object, cannot take
