Time on invitations
if you are putting a time of 6:30 on a wedding invitation should it read:
"half past 6 o'clock in the evening" or can you say "six thirty in the evening"
"half past 6 o'clock in the evening" or can you say "six thirty in the evening"

You can use either, but the first is more formal and therefore probably more appropriate.
