"They were recorded on wednesday." or "They are recorded on wednesday." Which is correct and why?
1-"They were recorded on wednesday."
2-"They are recorded on wednesday."
The fact is that the tapes are recorded on wednesday, but the recording was done in the past. So, I need to tell someone when the recording was done. Should I use 'are' or 'were'? And why? What's the subtle difference in meaning?
Number 1 sounds right, but it's hard for me to understand it.
