0Evening! I´ve gotten my first "real" essay assignment today about whether EU should promote the use of a second language (eng.) as a more efficient alternative to multilingualism. It should be written in formal English including an introduction with a thesis statement. Formal essay writing is something new for me and so is"thesis statements". I have written down what I think a thesis statement is. Starting with" this paper is about..." sounds very dull, but is my sentence still a thesis statement?02br02br02br02br00 00"The promoting of a second language (e.g. English) at the EU might lighten the small-talk around the coffee table; but English as a working language would have a negative impact on the EU-cooperation and put non-English speakers in a tough situation.
