Hello! Is there a difference between "There's not a cinema in town." and "There isn't a cinema in town."? Does either of them have a "stronger" negation? Thank you! CW

I agree.
But I do think that the version with 'not' is more emphatic.
It's also sometimes used in a poetic kind of way.
