The word "fingerlicking"

HICan I use the word "fingerlicking" in the sense of "very tasty"? A- How was the food?B- Absolutely fingerlicking! Thanks,Tom

If I am not mistaken, this expression originated as an advertising slogan for a brand of fried Chicken in th US. "Fingerlicking" is never used as a "stand-alone' word. I have never attempted to look up the word in the dictionary and don't know if I would find this entry. Whether they are real words in the dictionary, many of these expressions are so powerful in the sense of their ability and influence to make people remember the company or the products it represents that they sometimes became bigger than the products themselves. "Fingerlicking good" is one of those slogans which became so Americanized that even non-Americans are using item as standard English. But one can surely imagine this picture when someone is licking his finger after what he was holding in his hand was all consumed, that something has got to be good, just like the drips of melted ice cream cone on a kid's fingers.

Don't be surprise to hear someone say: "Fingerlickingly delicious!"
