What is the meaning of "the right and the left of existence" in the following paragraph? Can it be explained as "every dimension"?
"Herein is the strangely exciting but at the same time calming quality of his music: it evidently comes from on high, where (since everything is known there) the right and the left o existence and therefore its joy and sorrow, good and evil, life and death, are experienced in their reality but also in their limitation."

Hi, Really, I think it's just a cute phrase that has no real meaning. The author probably means that only whoever is 'on high' understands what it means. Clive
