The present tenses

Hi. Which tense should I use in this situation?

1. My mother is going to work tomorrow.

2. My mother goes to work tomorrow.

My mother is a teacher and she always goes to school on Monday, so should I consider the second sentence as a schedule and therefore use the past simple?
