the difference between tutor and teach

I Want to know more about the difference between tutor and teach. My answer is teach is when it describes a physical act and and tutor when helping educate or increase someone's academic understanding outside the primary source of the information.

In the US, a teacher, or the verb "to teach" means to give instructions in a classroom to a regularly-scheduled class. Students get a tutor if they want extra help (usually personal or one-on-one) with learning the material. The tutor may supply supplementary lessons.
