Which is correct? "It is easier than ever to earn money" or "It is easier than ever before to earn money"? If the latter is correct, is the former acceptable also?

Which is correct? "It is easier than ever to earn money" or "It is easier than ever before to earn money"? If the latter is correct, is the former acceptable also? I see them as the same thing, both acceptable. The former just omits 'before'.
