Tenses used after conditional pattern
Consider this scenario : my friend copied my exam, and then he foolishly told his teacher about it. Consequently, he got scolded by the teacher.
Then, now I will say :
"If you hadn't told them, you wouldn't have gotten scolded because the teacher will not know?"
Is this gramatically correct? Or should I replace the 'will' with 'would'?

Rikudo If you hadn't told him , you wouldn't have gotten scolded because the teacher will not know would not have known . You need to express that as shown above. CJ
