Tense problems of a passage extracted from a past paper.
The following extract is from a past examination paper of a local college. This passage is supposed to be very easy because it is designed for less able students, however, I found it very difficult to do so. I don't even understand the passage. I think the passage is a little bit strange. After discussing it with some of my fellow colleagues I decided to put the passage here for open discussion.
Note: I especially do not understand what the first paragraph is talking about. I have
confusion with the time frame. Why , when Daniel asked John how his school Christmas yesterday was, (so
the outing should be past), and then he suggested John to go to Ocean Park for his outing.... "..... Ocean Park
is a good choice for you!"
Please help!
