Hi all
They show how to use the principles to analyze and construct logical arguments. Although they give some medical examples, this section is generic and thus, this book ---- well as a text for an introductory course in a philosophy curriculum. Good illustrations and boxed definitions help to guide the reader, too.

Which one of the above is correct in this context?
I chose "has served" but according to the answer key, correct option is "would serve". I'm confused. What does "would serve" mean? There is no conditional structure here. I need a brief explanation.
