Task 6

I (see) him for a year and more, but he looked up at me as if I (be) yesterday.

A. have not seen, was
B. did not see, were
C. had not seen, had been

I really dont know the answer. Please help.

Well, probably again because the sentence is miswritten or miscopied. ' It ', not 'I', in the second instance. The supposed answer is C, but past perfect is overkill in the second blank.
