Hello.Can you please help me to understand these phrases:"Here I am, worrying myself away into a stick, in the dark,and you're scoffing chips in some girl's lap. Where's my girl?!"Get up them stairs!"What is the meaning of "worry away into a stick" and "get up them stairs"?Thanks.

What is the meaning of "worry away into a stick"

I haven't heard this said. If I had to guess, I'd say the idea is that you worry so much, you lose weight and become as thin as a stick. It's a figurative expresion, not a literal one.

and "get up them stairs"? It's a colloquial, low-register way of saying 'Go up those stairs'.

Different people react differently to stress/anxiety. Some people overeat and some starve themselves.

My impression of the person worrying himself away into a stick is that he's not eating properly, and losing weight to the point of becoming "skinny as a rail." (an old-fashioned wooden fence rail)

My mother's version was "Pine away to a cartload." (To "pine" is to "grieve.")

"Get up them stairs" is just colloquial "bad English."

It's an imperative sentence. "Go up those stairs!"

"Get [yourself] up those stairs."
