Staff Report

Please help me correct the following staff report. Thank you very much.

I have been working alongside Dave for nearly 1 year, who has joined our department since 15.11.2015 and has been making certain contribution in facilitating the smooth management of our parks and playgrounds. As a frontline supervisor of the large Zone 5 with a total area of more than 20 hectare, Dave always demonstrates his decent management skills in supervising various types of contractors to deliver quality services to the public.

Industrious and attentive to details as Dave has been, he pays visit to all his managed venues every day and whenever he observes any defects and irregularities on the facilities in the venues, he will immediately report those cases to the Technical Division for repair works and then keep track of those works, with detailed reports submitted to the senior officials until the works are ensured to be satisfactorily completed. Indeed, with his tireless efforts in scrutinizing the progress of toilet construction work at Glorious Park and liaising with the work contractor during the past few months, quite a lot of defects on the toilet facilities such as the clogged drainages and unstable lighting system can be early found and swiftly rectified and hence the toilet can be timely opened to the public use. Similarly, without his continued urge the work agent to expedite the defective bollards removal work at Central Park, the work would have never been completed on schedule and his endeavor brings considerable convenience to the people with disabilities and eventually earns high praise from a District Mayor.

Likewise, courtesy of Dave's great observation and mature managerial skills in complaints management, he successfully finds out some cleaning workers from the Hygiene department inappropriately throw their horticultural garbage within our playground, which significantly helps our department and our horticultural contractor to clarify the position to the public of being mismanaging the garage disposal and address the successive complaints from a member of public about this issue by timely referring the case to the Hygiene department to handle.
