Someone's is up in biriyani

I have recently watched a video on YouTube, where a native speaker said "suppose, you smell someone is having a barbecue, you have to say: someone's up in a barbeque." Now my question is, if I smell someone is having "biriyani", can I say this then? "someone's up in biriyani"
