I understand the usage of 'so as to', but how to use so as not to? Example: He did not like it, yet he agreed so as not to upset her. (can we use 'so as not to' in this way?)
2) Again, regarding the usage of so: Can we use it like this: He made a mistake, a mistake so grave as to have ended his marriage.
3) again, as well as: They were similar in size as well as (in) strength. (do we have to repeat (in))
4) A doubt on tenses: That'll be the last time you'll ever scream. (is this okay, or '... you ever scream?)
5) Again, on tenses: For that purpose, they always had to be on guard. (is this okay in simple narrative)
