Singular plural confusion
Hi,
I tend to get confused where I have to deal with plural subjects. In the following example, ‘their portfolios’ sounds odd, but I can’t use ‘its portfolio’ as there are more than one company. Assume that I can’t paraphrase the sentences, how can I make it clearer.
The amendment allows the companies to hold 10% of their portfolios in the form of foreign assets without losing their tax status.
