"Should you fall sick, I will inform your family."
Can anyone explain the structure of this sentence to me ?
This seems to be a combination of unreal conditional and type 1 conditional.
The unreal conditional sentence should be : If you fell ill, I should inform your parents.
The type 1 conditional sentence should be: If you fall ill, I will inform you parents.
But this sentence really confuses me.

Debpriya De Should you fall sick, I will inform your family. "Should" is no different than "If" in this sentence in terms of meaning. The usage is a bit dated.
