I am having trouble explaining the sentence structure of the following sentences to my students. Could you please break down each of the following sentences in terms of structure (subject, verb, etc.) and offer an easy explanation? Thanks!

She makes us happy.

He made me a man.

They elected Carter president.

She (subject) makes (verb) us (object) happy (object complement).

7. Object Complement (Objective Complement)
An object complement is a noun that completes or adds to the meaning of the direct object. Objective complements usually follow the noun (or nouns) they modify and used when the direct object would not make complete sense by itself.
The country elected Mr. Smith president.
My sister called the salesperson charlatan and a fraud.
She considered the car a lemon.
