I feel confused about the following questions and could not get a definite answer.Would you be kind to help me out? Thank you very much!
Combine each group of this sentence into one by means of subordination and in the most logical and coherent way:
1. He could not go to medical school. First he had to get his B.A. degree.
My answer is : he had to get his B.A. degree before he could go to medical school.
2. It is possible that John will get a promotion and an increase in salary.
First he has to exhibit an extraordinarily good performance in that business consulting company.
